The Dead - Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan

ISBN: 9780385736848
Publisher: Gollancz
Pages: 404

The dystopian tale The Dead - Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan is about Gabry who lives a quiet, safe life. Well, as safe a life as possible in a town trapped between a forest and the ocean, in a world where the dead roam, constantly hungering for the living.
Gabry is content on her side of The Barrier, but in a world where the dead hunger for the living even The Barrier can't hold back some threats. Threats like the secrets Gabry’s mother thought she had left behind when she'd escaped from the Sisterhood and the Forest of Hands and Teeth.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. I would recommend reading them in order as this book goes over and explains more about some things that happen in the first book. My favourite character was Gabry's mother Mary, mainly because she was my favourite character in the first book and she is the only character from The Forest Of Hands And Teeth to be mentioned as such in this book.
