Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Publisher: HarperCollins
Pages: 470

What if you had only one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?
Samantha Kingston has it all: the world's most crush-worthy boyfriend, three amazing best friends, and first pick of everything at Thomas Jefferson High—from the best table in the cafeteria to the choicest parking spot. Friday, February 12th, should be just another day in her charmed life.
Instead, it turns out to be her last.
Then she gets a second chance. Seven chances, in fact. Reliving her last day during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

I loved reading Before I Fall! It was well written and thought-provoking. My favourite character was Samantha. At the start of the book, she seemed selfish and to be honest, quite deserving of what happened to her however, as I got further into the book and learnt of her past I grew to like Sam more. Despite Samantha's tragic death Before I Fall wasn't morbid or depressing, in fact it was fascinating to read about how Sam dealt with replaying February 12th again and what she changed each time. Once she realised that the day would restart with no consequences, she took risks, becoming bolder and wilder than before, whilst also savouring all that she may loose. I really like the cover of Before I Fall. The image gives the impression that Samantha is not only examining the grass in front of her but also examining everything she did on the original February 12th as well as what she changed on the following days.
