Soul Fire by Kate Harrison

ISBN: 9781780620237
Publisher: Orion
Pages: 400

It’s getting hotter on the beach . . .

Alice Forster regularly talks with her dead sister, Meggie, in the virtual world of Soul Beach – an online paradise where dead teenagers are held in limbo.

Alice has learned that if she can solve the mystery of someone’s death in the real world, then that person is released from the Beach. Meggie needs Alice to solve her murder so she can be free, but as Alice is getting closer to discovering the murderer, the murderer is getting closer to Alice.

I received an ARC copy of Soul Fire by Kate Harrison from Orion for review, which I absolutely loved reading! As in Soul Beach, the previous book in the trilogy, my favourite character was Alice, because of her selflessness. In this book, Alice stubbornly continues to search for answers about her sister’s death to give Meggie the chance to escape the limbo of Soul Beach . . . even though that may mean that Alice could end up permanently joining her sister. I really enjoyed the change of scenery in Soul Fire, as it added to the story, whilst also still being inkeeping and believable! I love the cover of Soul Fire! It’s bold, beautiful colours alongside the simple, black silhouettes set the tone for the story within.
