Faceless
By Jus Accardo

Faceless is book 2.5 in the Denazen series.

My name is Brandt Cross, and I died. Again…

I'm living in the body of a Six named Douglass Cain, a certifiable scumbag whose ability is on Zendean Industries - AKA Denazen's - most wanted list. There’s some serious bad going down, and Ginger, the leader of the Underground, sent me undercover to obtain information because people are dying.

My cousin, Dez, is dying…

Denazen thought they’d found a cure for the Supremacy decline, but they were wrong. That’s the bad news. The good news? Franklin Wentz.

Wentz, the owner of a genetic research company, is brilliant and just a little bit crazy. He’s unwittingly created a formula that may cure the sick Supremacy kids, and everyone wants it - including Devin, the super hot Resident. Get the formula. Save the day. Don’t fall for the hot spy. Piece of cake.

Toxic is the second book in the Denazen series.

When a Six saved Kale's life the night of Sumrun, she warned there would be consequences. A trade-off. Something taken for the life they gained. But Dez never imagined she'd lose the one thing she'd give anything to keep... And as if it's not enough Dez finds her immunity to Kale fading, the Six brought in to help Kale learn to control his killer touch starts drooling on him the moment they meet. Worse than that? Jade can touch Kale. But bimbo Barbie is the least of Dez's problems.

After Dez and Kale got away at Sumrun, her father lost not only his most powerful weapon but an important piece of the Supremacy project. Forced by Denazen to remedy the situation, he poisons Dez and offers her a choice - surrender to Denazen for the cure...or die. Determined to find a solution that doesn't involve being bagged and tagged--or losing someone she loves - Dez keeps the poison a secret. But when a rash of Denazen attacks hit a little too close to home, Dez is convinced there's a traitor among them. Jade.

Sacrifices, broken promises, and secrets. Dez will have to lay it all on the line if there's any hope of proving Jade's guilt before they all end up Residents of Denazen. Or worse, dead...

Untouched is book 1.5 in the Denazen series.

Until he met Dez, Kale’s days were filled with violence and death. He was used as a weapon of destruction by the power hungry men of Denazen. He’s a Six. A person with an abnormal ability. Some people call them gifts, but not Kale. Kale’s touch means instant death.

But now there’s Dez, the girl he can touch, and they’re hunting down Sixes and warning them about Denazen. Kale is learning about the world outside captivity and trying to put his dark past behind him. But they underestimated how badly Denazen wanted him back.

When Dez sacrifices herself to save the new Six they’d rescued from falling into the corp’s hands, Kale is lost. Denazen has brought out its best to get the job done. Samsen, a nightmare from Kale’s past - the only person he’s ever truly feared - has come for them, and it soon becomes obvious he has his own twisted agenda.

Kale will need all his training to get Dez back and ensure they make it out, free - and alive. But will it be enough?

Touch
By Jus Accardo

Touch is the first book in the Denazen series.

When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.

Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy - and her father’s “law firm” - than she realized.

Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation - an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons - his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.

A secret Kale will kill to protect.

Author Interview: Jus Accardo

Jus Accardo has written the Denazen series.

1. Do you have plans for a new book? Is this book part of a series?
I’m always working on something new ;) Right now, I’m working on the next book in the Denazen series, as well as the second book in the Darker series, the first book of which is tentatively scheduled for release this coming June.

2. Which is your favourite cover of all the books you have written?
Hmm… That’s tough cause I love all my covers. But if I had to pick, I think it’s a tie between Touch and a mock up for Darker Days that I saw a few days ago!

3. Do you have a playlist in mind for any of your books?
All my books have playlists. Hell, every character has their own playlist ;) Some scenes, too.  You can find a full list here

4. Do you prefer e-books, paperbacks, hardcovers or audiobooks?
Well, I’ll always love paperbacks. I’m a sucker for trade. But, I have grown attached to e-books if for no other reason than my shelves - and my husband - thank me. There’s no room left in the house for more book shelves :D

5. Have you ever read a book more than once? And if so what was it?
I think I’ve read all my books more than once :D I have a few though, my comfort books, that I read over and over and over… Nightlife by Rob Thurman, Bitten by Kelly Armstrong, and The Heavenly Horse from the Outermost West by Mary Stanton are my big three.

6. What is your opinion of novellas?
To tell you the truth, I never really gave much thought to them. I’d never read one, and never thought about writing one. But my agent and editor came to me and suggested I write one for the series, and poof! A new novella fan.

7. What book are you reading at the moment? And in what format?
I just started reading Slashback by Rob Thurman in e-book. If you’ve never read anything by her, you’re totally missing out!

8. If you could invite any four celebrities (alive or dead) to your dinner party, who would you invite and why?
Poe would be at the top of the list, because, well, he’s POE! I think I’d also love to sit down with Chuck Norris and find out what he really thinks about all those Chuck Norris jokes… Also, David and Raymond Belle. Why? One word. Parkour.

9. Do you have any advice for other writers? And what’s the best advice that you have been given when it comes to writing?
My advice would be don’t give up.

10. Do you have any hobbies that aren’t related to reading & writing?
I’m a huge World of Warcraft junkie and I love to cook.

11. Where can your readers follow you?

Cover Reveal: The Guardians by T. M. Franklin

The Guardians is the second book in the More series and will be released in Fall 2013.

It’s not every day a girl discovers she’s not entirely human and unlocks hidden powers strong enough to make even the First Race take notice. Then again, Ava Michaels is no ordinary girl.

Now, the Race’s Ruling Council wants her under their control, and that’s just the beginning of her problems. Her boyfriend, Caleb Foster, has disappeared - accused of betraying the Race - and Ava herself is implicated in a crime she didn’t commit.

Clearing their names will mean uncovering a web of deceit and intrigue with Ava woven right in the center. To unravel the strands, she joins forces with some unlikely allies; a Protector who once haunted her nightmares, a young girl with secrets as unexpected as Ava’s, and a group of rebel Guardians who have their own fight against the Council.

Together they stand in a battle to find the truth, bring Caleb home, and secure Ava’s freedom - not to mention save her life.

My Opinion:
I really like the cover of The Guardians as even though it is a bit plain & simplistic, it is also quite pretty! I love how both the blue & green aspects have been carried through onto the cover of The Guardians in a different way to how they were on More. Although the cover of The Guardians is inkeeping with the cover of the previous book in the series, it doesn't really portray much of it's blurb with the cover. Overall, if I saw this book on the shelf in my local bookstore, it would definitely catch my eye & I would probably pick it up - along with the previous book, More!

Like the sound of The Guardians? Add it to your wishlist on Goodreads!
